Los Primos is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest brass band in the world.

This Friday, ten musicians from the musical association “Charanga Los Primos” from Tomelloso traveled to the emblematic city of Soria Medinaceli to take part in an attempt to enter the Guinness Book of Records for the largest charanga in the world. As part of the celebration of Prime Day 2024, the event, sponsored by Amazon and the City Council of Medinaceli, took place in the old town of the city. In addition to many famous personalities, there were 30 brass bands, a total of 269 musicians, who came from different places throughout Spain.

After a brief performance by all the brass bands on the stage prepared for the occasion, all the musicians occupying the Plaza Mayor Medinaceli performed together the famous paso doble “Paquito Chocolatero”, as well as “La Sandía” and “La Sandia”. La Amapola.” After deliberation among the various Guinness Book of Jury members, the precious record was achieved and it is an impressive moment that we will always remember.

To conclude the event, accompanied by some musicians from the friendly brass bands “Los Primos” enlivened the end of the party until midnight, as the performances planned later had to be suspended due to a strong storm that hit the city of Soria.
