After having hosted the first two duels of the Final Series of the Venezuelan Baseball League as locals, the Leones del Caracas once again became the home club for the sixth decisive commitment in Venezuelan baseball.
The long-haired had an advantage of three games for two in the series and, in case of obtaining a victory on Monday night, they would be crowned champions for the twenty-first time in their history and would end the thirteen-year drought without lifting a title.
The Sharks of La Guaira, for their part, were forced to win to force a seventh game in which the ninth feline would also play at home. For this, Erick Leal, who already pitched in the third match between the two teams and won the victory, would be the shark starter once again.
The Lions would once again have Yoimer Camacho on the mound. The right-hander was present in the fourth game of the final, where he pitched two and a third innings in which he allowed two hits.
After eleven innings, Harold Castro would send the home run ball to give the twenty-first title in its history to the Leones del Caracas, who managed to leave the sharks on the field.
