One of the great teams from Team Cuba to the World Classic received good news from his franchise.
This Monday, January 30, the Detroit Tigers announced the names of the 22 players not belonging to the roster of 40 Major League Baseball who received invitations to Spring Training 2023.
They called 10 pitchers. Elvis Alvarado, Kervin Castro, Angel De Jesus, Miguel Del Pozo, Miguel Diaz, Brenan Hanifee, Zach Logue, Chasen Shreve, Trey Wingenter, Adam Wolf will be the pitchers trying to get enough attention to get promoted before Opening Day.
The position players are Brendon Davis, Jonathan Davis, Dillon Dingler, Mario Feliciano, César Hernández, Andy Ibáñez, Colt Keith, Andrew Knapp, Justyn-Henry Malloy, Jermaine Palacios, Michael Papierski and Julio Rodríguez.
Among the guests is the Cuban-born major leaguer Andy Ibáñez. The pinero, with experience in MLB with the Texas Rangers, came to the organization claimed from waiver.
It will be the 7th Spring Training for Ibáñez. He has been a continuous participant in Spring Training since 2017.
