Health authorities Panama (Minsa) confirmed 69 new cases from malaria Last week.
Shire Guna Yala 52 cases reported; Darien 9, region Ngabe Bugli 4, as well as in the Panama Metro, Panama Oeste, Colón and Chiriquí regions – 1 each.
Promotional and prevention strategies are continuing in these areas by distributing chemical-laden mosquito nets and strengthening operational capacity and drug supply against the disease throughout the country.
