Mets are interested in Trey Mancini and Adam Duvall

New York Mets have first baseman/outfielder Trey Mancini and outfielder Adam Duvall ‘on his radar’. Mancini, 31 in March, had a monster season in 2019, hitting 35 home runs and hitting .291/.364/.535. Although that was the “juicy ball” season, that production was 32% better than the league average, as evidenced by his 132 wRC+.
He then missed the 2020 season while undergoing treatment for a colon cancer diagnosis, but made an inspiring return to the field the following year. Over the past two seasons, Mancini has established himself as a cromulant, albeit a bit short of his excellent performance in 2019:
For his part, Duvall, 34 years old and 1.85 meters tall, He is coming off a bad year with the Atlanta Braves, although he had a good performance last season. He’s always been a heavy strikeout guy and that was the case again in 2021.
