Mia Khalifa sparks controversy by saying ‘I’m not a terrorist’
On social media, Mia Khalifa made a very bold fashion choice, declaring that she is “not a terrorist.”
The former adult film star often finds herself embroiled in controversies and often raises eyebrows with her social media posts.
She is often trolled for supporting Palestine, and her latest Instagram post seems to stir things up even more.
After sharing the selfie, Mia decided to wear a long-sleeved T-shirt with a very bold message.
Next to the red heart on top of it was written:
“I’m not a terrorist, don’t arrest me.”
Her post quickly gained attention and netizens took to the comment section to share their opinions, both positive and negative.
One person joked: “Lol (laughing emoji), victim card as always.”
Some praised her support, with one saying: “I love the shirt and the message.”
Her post also included a photo of her holding a Palestinian flag, to which people responded:
“Free Palestine”.
However, others have seized on their “terrorist” slogan. One said:
“You are not a terrorist, but unfortunately the government that you support is committing terrorist acts, and that is not good at all.”
Some users highlighted Mia Khalifa’s comments when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel in October 2023.
One person said: “You are not a terrorist. But I remember how just a year ago you encouraged and incited violence.
“Condoning violence against a specific group of people is hate speech. “I will never forget how happy you were at the bloodshed that day.”
Another commented: “You are essentially supporting Hamas, a terrorist organization that will not tolerate you for less than 3 seconds.
“You struggle to understand that Hamas must be eradicated so that the people of Palestine can achieve freedom.
“It’s so simple… for a simpleton.”
The user wrote: “No, but Hamas is a terrorist organization. What do you think about the Israeli civilians killed by Hamas?”
At the time, Mia voiced her thoughts on the attack and appeared to support it.
She tweeted: “If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not end up on the side of the Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid and history will show that in time.”
In another post, Mia said:
“Can someone please ask the Palestinian freedom fighters to turn their phones upside down and shoot horizontally?”
Many called Mia’s statements “disgusting” and as a result she was even expelled from Playboy magazine.
