The Health Ministry of the Gaza Strip, ruled by the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas, announced this Saturday (04/20/2024) that 34,049 people have been killed since the conflict with Israel began on October 7.
According to a statement from the organisation, 37 people were killed in the last 24 hours, with 76,901 people reported injured in more than six months of conflict.
Just yesterday morning, at least 10 people were killed in Israeli attacks in the south of the enclave: nine in a bombardment in the city of Rafah and one in an attack on a house near a cemetery, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa. This is from the same city. According to the media, most of the victims were children or women.
For its part, the Israeli army said this Saturday that it had destroyed a rocket launch site in the Beit Hanoun area in northern Gaza, from which attacks against the Israeli city of Sderot were detected. He also reported that his troops killed an alleged militiaman in a confrontation in the center of the enclave.
More than 1.5 million people have been forced to flee their homes since the Israeli offensive began, most of them in the city of Rafah near the border with Egypt.
