N64 version compatible with your games
Analogue 3D is a modern version of the Nintendo 64 (N64), following in the footsteps of the rest of the company’s products, specializing in developing machines capable of playing classic console games. We’re not talking about emulation, but about running original games using their cartridge (or corresponding media). In the case of Analogue 3D, we are faced with the first reinvention of the Nintendo 64, which is capable of running its entire catalog without any concessions, which is done thanks to its own FPGA.
With Analogue 3D, players will be able to play Nintendo 64 games in 4K resolution with a custom-designed upscaler and multiple display modes that mimic the look and feel of a CRT screen. The Nintendo 64 is a 3D console, which means that in addition to pixels, it shows polygons and textures, the representation of which depends on a CRT to a greater extent than a 2D system. Analogue ensures that its machine is not only compatible with the entire Nintendo 64 catalogue, but also runs games authentically and without regional restrictions. “This is the rebirth of the N64,” the company says.
The Analogue 3D allows you to connect four original N64 controllers, is Bluetooth compatible, has two USB ports, an SD card slot, and has a new installed operating system called 3D OS designed specifically for this machine. If you’re missing controllers for multiplayer games, of which there are plenty on the Nintendo 64, Analogue has partnered with 8bitdo to create an updated and upgraded version of the console’s controller, which can be purchased separately for $39.99.
