It’s been almost 13 years since Natalie Portman earned a Best Actress Oscar for her role in Black Swan and she gave fans a flashback to the famous ballet film with her red carpet look on Thursday.
The star stepped out for Netflix’s May December premiere at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles and made sure all eyes were on her.
Natalie looked radiant in a strapless, black mini dress with bold, feathered detailing on the left side.
The flared skirt was reminiscent of a ballet tutu and the nipped-in waist accentuated Natalie’s petite frame.
Instead of pulling your hair back into a sleek dancer’s bun, Natalie chose to wear her hair down and looked stunning.
Standing alongside her co-stars including Julianne Moore and Charles Melton, Natalie exuded Hollywood glamour.
While her outfit looked like it belonged to a 2011 thriller, she was there to promote her latest film which is a romance drama.
IMDB’s description of the film reads: “Twenty years after their infamous tabloid romance, a married couple comes under pressure when a Hollywood actress visits them to do research for a film about their past. Is.”
Natalie’s real-life romance with her husband Benjamin Millepied has also recently come under scrutiny and they have now reportedly separated.
He met the French dancer and choreographer on the set of Black Swan and they married and had two children, Aleph, 12, and Amalia, six.
However, in June 2023, Voisey published a report claiming that Benjamin was having an extramarital affair. They have since been seen together on several occasions, but without their wedding rings.
Amidst all this, the couple has maintained a tight stance on their personal lives and have chosen to keep their family life away from the limelight.
France has been his primary home over the years, although he also maintains an estate in California.
Speaking about the differences between her estranged husband’s home country and Los Angeles, she told Jimmy Kimmel in 2016: “Everyone here smiles a lot. It’s great.” They’re cooler in France,” He said.
“I didn’t realize until I got here that I had gotten used to it and I was so surprised! Someone would smile at my kid and I’d say, ‘What a nice person.’ “The people here are really lovely,” said Natalie. “I think there are a lot of politeness rules and codes of conduct that you have to follow. It’s very loose here.”
