Netflix raises prices again after increasing profits
Netflix raises prices again. The platform has just increase their rates, which came into effect on Friday, October 18, after limiting the use of shared accounts, creating an ad-supported plan, and considering canceling the basic ad-free plan.
The change was announced last Thursday during the company’s results presentation. We are talking about the third quarter of 2024. the time during which the company broke records for subscribers and profits. The platform added 5.1 million subscribers, reaching 282.72, and increased revenue by 41% to $2.364 million, according to Deadine.
As for price increases, their rates are as follows: standard rate with advertising 6.99 euros (another 1.5 euros), standard rate 13.99 euros (1 euro more) and premium rate 19.99 euros (another 2 euros).
As we said earlier, the new tariffs are now valid for all users. First-time subscribers will already have to pay these prices; Bye Subscribed users will receive an email notification by notifying them of the increase as the renewal time approaches.
