New edition of Explora’t Conferences

To coincide with the World Breast Cancer Day month, workshops and other activities were offered by experts from various medical disciplines to promote healthy lifestyles and create awareness to promote cancer prevention among people with disabilities. about the importance of prevention and guaranteeing accessibility of information for people with disabilities.

The day passed in Vila Urania Community Center and It was supported by professionals from various fields to create a welcoming and safe environment where participants could freely interact with experts, resolve their doubts and share their problems.

The program was structured around five thematic areas:

• Gynecology and Urology: Focuses on sexual and reproductive health, with a focus on preventing diseases such as breast and prostate cancer.
• Healthy habits: with practical tips to lead a healthy lifestyle, paying special attention to a balanced diet and physical activity.
• Psychology: teaching a master class “Healthy men in healthy bodies“, which spoke about the importance of mental health as a critical component of overall well-being.
• Physical Therapy: A space led by a specialized physical therapist who focuses on the benefits of exercise as a means of prevention.
• Oncology: with information on the early detection of cancer and the relevance of self-examination as a preventive measure.
