Nine people on a flight that left Puerto Rico for Orlando, Florida, yesterday, Saturday, were hospitalized in Miami, after the plane had to be diverted to this city when the passengers said they felt sick.
The situation was reported by several Florida media, in reports indicating that first responders from Miami-Dade County had to assist the passengers, after the flight was sent to land at Miami International Airport.
The television station 7News Miami (WSVN) said a rescue official said paramedics treated eight crew members and one passenger who felt dizzy before taking them to area hospitals.
According to the reports, the passengers were aboard Flight 111 of the Frontier Airlines company, which left the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Carolina at 4:56 in the afternoon.
Its destination was the Orlando International Airport, but newspaper reports indicate that the plane was diverted because “several passengers” and crew members “began to feel sick,” according to official expressions offered to the NBC television network.
