Official statement: contract extension with Dani Carvajal
Real Madrid Football Club announces that, as planned, it has agreed with Dani Carvajal to extend the contract of our player, who remains associated with the club until June 30, 2026.
Carvajal arrived at Real Madrid in 2002 when he was just 10 years old and played in all categories of our youth team from Alevin B to Castilla in 2010. On May 12, 2004, he starred in an iconic image of our history, laying the foundation of the city of Real Madrid together with the then honorary president Alfredo Di Stefano.
Since 2013, he has been part of the main team and in twelve seasons, defending our jersey, he has become a legend of Real Madrid and world football.
With Real Madrid, he won 26 titles in 427 games: 6 Champions Leagues, 5 Club World Cups, 5 European Super Cups, 4 Leagues, 2 Copa del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups. Carvajal is one of five players who managed to win 6 European Cups. At Wembley on June 1, he was recognized as the best player in the Champions League final, in which Real Madrid won their fifteenth European Cup.
Carvajal is also a legend of the Spanish national team, for whom he played 50 times. While wearing the Spain jersey, he won 1 European Championship, 1 European Under-19 Championship, 1 European Under-21 Championship and 1 European Under-19 Championship.
Real Madrid wants to show him all their support and love and wishes him a speedy recovery so that we can enjoy his football on the pitch again as soon as possible.
