On stage: Masters of the Air premieres on AppleTV+ with Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Barry Keoghan, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg
The Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles put on full old Hollywood glamor for the premiere of the AppleTV+ series. Masters of the Air! Lights flashed as big band and jazz played steps and repeats. This historical drama chronicles the efforts of the United States Air Force’s 100th Bomb Group during World War II. The cast is killer, with superstars like Austin Butler, Callum Turner, And Barry Keoghan leading the pack.
Saltburn Observations aside, fans were stunned to see the executive producers. Gary Goetzman, Tom Hanks, And Steven Spielberg stop. The crowd erupted when they witnessed Elvis reunion when A (Butler) locked eyes with his old friend Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks) on the red carpet.
Inside the historic theater, the aroma of popcorn filled the air as you made your way past celebrities such as Bo Derek (10) And John Corbett (Sex and the City/And just like that…), as well as the veterans and their families who inspired AppleTV+ Masters of the air.
As we sat down, the light began to dim. Suddenly you heard Woody from toy story into the microphone… or wait… no. Technically it was an EP, Tom Hanks. Hanks and Spielberg briefly discussed how Masters of the Air came true after constant inspiration through Brotherhood. Spielberg also expressed gratitude to his father for his latest project.
Hanks introduced the audience to several audience members and their families who inspired the stories of the men portrayed on screen…the audience erupted in applause and rose to their feet to thank the men and their families for their service and sacrifice.
The series is intense, emotional and exciting… not to mention the stellar cast. This is a must see. (And I highly recommend a projector. I’ll feel completely cheated watching the rest of the series on TV instead of on a big movie screen! WOW!)
Masters of the Air The official premiere will take place on January 26, 2024 on AppleTV+. Subscription required.
