Orange is already using technology to enable better viewing of IPTV and OTT content from its decor.

Operators continue to try to find the best technology so that their customers can enjoy a better experience not only on fiber and mobile, but also when watching TV through their devices. Like the last example Orangeas operator Orange began using Viaccess-Orca technology to offer a smoother visual experience to customers using the new generation deco.

This is a technology that has not been implemented in Spain, but could open the way to other European markets like ours. First of all, it was used in Poland. Essentially, Orange has used an alternative that provides a smoother transition between content live TV, delayed TV, U7D (catch-up TV) and upon request.

Greater control over content

As time goes on, operators are looking for new solutions so that their customers can get an even better experience from each of the services they have contracted with. One of Orange’s latest innovations is the use of Secure Video Player VO (Viaccess-Orca) technology. Essentially, it is a technology by which it is assumed that content between IPTV and OTT They are more cohesive than ever, and above all, changes when viewing a particular type of content occur more smoothly than before.

This is a new option that the Orange operator has started to include in Poland, in particular in Latest generation decoders from Sagemcom. And all this with the aim of providing a better visual experience for each content through Orange TV when using decorative elements.

Although at the moment this is one of the bets that orange Poland has made.

Apart from this function, this tool also serves to evaluate the quality of the experience, service and behavior of viewers on the screen. It even has a different DRM to protect content from piracy. At the moment it is not available in our country, but who knows if it could open up the possibility for an operator in Spain to bet on this type of technology.
