Overwatch 2 Player Turns D.Va Fail Into Fun Quad Kill

Reflexes

  • A viral clip shows a D.Va player seemingly failing her Self-Destruct ult, but actually achieving a quadruple kill thanks to the Call Mech ability.
  • During the match, the enemy team pounced on the mech-less D.Va, not knowing that they would activate D.Va’s Call Mech and be crushed, resulting in the death of the team.
  • Commentators compared the move to Doomfist’s ultimate, pointing out that D.Va’s quad kill actually worked unlike Doomfist’s. These jokes may be related to recent balance changes in Overwatch 2.

A recent supervision 2 The clip has gone viral and shows a D.Va player achieving a quad kill with her Self Destruct ultimate ability. However, upon closer inspection, the D.Va player appears to have successfully failed, perpetuating one of the funniest trends found in supervision 2.

Thanks to D.Va’s skill set, a wide variety of fun interactions can occur organically when one or two D.Va players are in a given lobby. Take this recent clip as an example, which showed two D.Va players simultaneously scoring a team kill with their self-destruct ult. With so many factors at play during a typical supervision 2 match, sometimes the chaos can cause entire times to simultaneously forget some of D.Va’s core mechanics.

That’s exactly what happened in a clip shared by Reddit user typical_Plane4874 on the Supervision subreddit for a competitive match in Busan. At first glance, the D.Va appeared to pass through enemy Sigma’s barrier to activate his Self-Destruct ultimate and achieved a quadruple kill. However, a different angle shows that D.Va completely missed his ultimate ability. It turns out that D.Va was able to perform a quadruple kill thanks to the Call Mech skill, which activates automatically after the Self-Destruct skill.

Right after D.Va cast the Self Destruct ability, they ran to low ground, with the entire enemy team attacking the fuseless D.Va. On paper, the enemy team had a decent strategy, since D.Va is very vulnerable when he is outside of his robot. Unfortunately, they were all grouped together when they attacked D.Va, causing them to be crushed by D.Va’s Call Mech ability. An almost identical play occurred in 2022, where a D.Va player also scored a triple kill with the Call Mech ability.

Humorously, some commenters noted that the quad kill worked similarly to how Doomfist’s Meteor Strike ultimate normally works, with one commenter adding, “except he actually got kills.” Given the recent Doomfist nerfs and D.Va buffs in the set of balance changes from October to supervision 2These jokes may originate from the player’s actual experience.

Sincerely SupervisionSince the initial release in 2016, D.Va has maintained a consistent place among the most popular heroes on the list. With her striking character design and stealthily complex gear, viral clips of D.Va’s gameplay are likely to remain a fixture in the bigger picture. supervision 2 community.
