Boehringer Ingelheim and Lilly Alliance announced that the Ministry of Health has approved funding for empaglifozine to treat adults with chronic kidney disease, which showed reduce the risk of progression of kidney disease or death from cardiovascular disease, as well as the risk of hospitalization for any reason.
