Perseids – Parla City Council

The City Council of Parla, through the Department of Environment, is organizing on Friday, August 9, a unique astronomical experience: observing the Perseids in the Arroyo Humanejos “Civic Forest”.

A nighttime event during which, for three hours, professional astronomers will be able to observe shooting stars, star clusters, nebulae, double stars and Saturn with its rings using robotic telescopes.

In addition, as explained by the district councilor Carla Escudero Valero, participants will be able to learn more about the mysteries of the universe thanks to a talk on a huge screen full of data and curiosities that will help us understand the astronomers who direct the activity. And, as a culmination, a unique star walk with powerful astronomical lasers and ambient music, through the constellations, myths and legends of the sky, to learn to position ourselves like our ancestors.

Registration from July 30, capacity is limited to 100 people.
