Plaza San Martín – Rapid HIV Testing Day in the Municipality of Berazategui

On Thursday, September 21, as part of Spring Day, residents will be able to go to Plaza San Martín (Avi Miter and 7) from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, to get a rapid HIV/syphilis test. Voluntarily, confidentially and free of charge. The day aims to raise awareness about the importance of rapid testing and promote its accessibility. In case of bad weather the event will be postponed.

Since 2015, the Municipality of Berazategui, headed by Mayor Juan José Musi, through the Secretariat of Socio-Educational Policies and its Health Center No. 8, offers a specialized position in HIV and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Thus, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, it strengthens awareness and prevention policies.

The analysis is simple and the test result comes within 20 minutes, requiring only a drop of blood from a finger. The results are given confidentially by health professionals. This procedure is also carried out all year round and on a voluntary, confidential and free basis in the following Primary Health Care Centers (CAPS) of Berazategui: numbers 3, 11, 18, 25, 33 and 36; Also during monthly health days.
