Porsche expands the 911 range with the addition of the lightweight and dynamic Carrera T. Weight reduction, dynamic tuning and a manual transmission make this a Carrera with a purist approach that delivers unparalleled driving pleasure. The lightest configuration of the new 911 Carrera T, with bucket seats, lightweight windows, reduced sound insulation and manual transmission, weighs just 1,478 kilograms. With this equipment, the car is 40 kg lighter than the current 911 Carrera. For the first time, the 911 Carrera T is also available as a convertible.

The “T” stands for Touring and its history begins with the homologation of the 911 T in 1968. The first model was offered until 1973. In 2017, Porsche revived this variant, which was positioned between the Carrera and Carrera S. Pure. fun Driving performance, agility, emotional sound and a clear focus on what matters most are the hallmarks of this rear-wheel drive sports car.

Numerous details distinguish the Carrera T from other versions. On each rear window, a sticker reminiscent of the shift pattern on the knob identifies it as a manual transmission version, particularly the purist one within the range. The variant name on the back is in the contrasting color Vanadium Grey. The tailgate grille inserts, upper and lower door mirror caps, and machined alloy wheels are finished in Vanadium Gray Metallic. Another feature of the Carrera T is the aerodynamically optimized spoiler, borrowed from the 911 Carrera GTS.

For the Porsche Carrera T, the Legends color scheme includes Shade Green Metallic, Crayon and Slate Neo Gray, while the Dreams color scheme includes Guardia Red, Lugano Blue, Gentian Blue Metallic and Cartagena Yellow Metallic.

The 911 Carrera T is powered by the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder boxer engine from the 911 Carrera. It has a power of 394 horsepower (290 kW) and produces a maximum torque of 450 Nm. A standard six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear axle. This transmission has a selectable feature called auto-blip that automatically compensates for differences in engine speed between gears when downshifting. With the Sport Chrono package, which is also standard, the Carrera T Coupé reaches 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (Convertible: 4.7 seconds). Top speed: 295 km/h (convertible: 293 km/h). In line with the increase in power over its predecessor, it features a more powerful braking system with 350mm discs and six-piston fixed calipers at the front.

The Sport Chrono package, which includes the Porsche Track Precision app, is standard on the 911 Carrera T. In addition, Porsche offers rear-wheel steering as standard for the first time in this model in combination with more direct steering. Front axle ratio that optimizes maneuverability. Thus, steering response becomes more precise and lateral acceleration and stability are improved. The rear axle steering adjustment was developed specifically for the 911 Carrera T.

The PASM adaptive sports suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 mm, is also standard and is uniquely tuned for the Carrera T to achieve even better and more agile dynamics. The rear axle steering and aerodynamics, optimized specifically for this 911, make it possible to adjust the anti-roll bars on both axles to achieve a neutral behavior.

The 911 Carrera T is equipped with 20/21-inch Carrera S light-alloy wheels. Front tires are 245/35 ZR20, rear tires are 305/30 ZR21.

Carrera T packages for exterior and interior

The exclusivity of the 911 Carrera T is enhanced by the Carrera T design packages for the exterior and interior. The classic blue color of the Porsche Gentian creates a striking color contrast. On the outside, this color includes the rear bonnet inserts, Carrera T decals at the front, rear and doors, MT decals and alloy wheels with a bright front end. The upper exterior mirror housings are black. As standard, Gentian Blue contrast stitching, rather than black, enhances the interior, including seats with contrasting stripes in that shade. The same color adorns the seat belts, center console trim and door panels, as well as contrasting inserts and 911 logos sewn into the headrests.

Orders can now be placed for the new Porsche 911 Carrera T, which has a final price of €164,508 in Spain. In the case of the 911 Carrera T Cabriolet, the final price will be 180,565 euros.
