Porsche 911 Coupe GT3 (2025) | General information
This is the 992.2 generation Porsche 911 GT3. It’s also available in Touring trim, a variant without the large rear spoiler that can have rear seats for the first time (they’re optional). The engine, a six-cylinder, four-litre flat-six engine, has some improvements over the engine in the previous 911 GT3 (992.1), but maximum power remains the same. 510 hp. The gearbox, both manual and automatic, has 8% shorter final development.
Porsche has reconsidered engine cylinder headimproved intake air flow and installed camshaft911 GT3 RS. These modifications did not lead to an increase in maximum power(510 hp and injection cut-off at 9000 rpm.), but improved response at high speeds.
The gearbox may be six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic (PDK)both in the case of the GT3 and GT3 Touring. Porsche reduced the development of the last group by 8%in the style of what he did with the Porsche 911 S/T. The flywheel is the same, that is, not lighter, than that of the aforementioned 911 S/T.
911 GT3 with manual transmission accelerates From 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 313 km/h. With PDK the numbers are like this. 3.4 seconds and 311 km/h. Acceleration figures are identical to those of the 911 GT3 992.1, but the top speed is lower as the manual transmission reaches 320 km/h and the PDK reaches 318.
There are new ones carbon fiber seats with folding backrest, heating, electrical height adjustment and removable headrest cushion (designed to the posture is more comfortable with a helmet). As an option, the 911 GT3 Touring can be ordered with two rear seats, something Porsche has never offered in its 911 GT saga until now. Unlike the “regular” 911 line, Porsche retained the rotary engine start control and did not replace it with a button.
Externally, there are few differences between this 911 GT3 and the previous one. aimed at increasing aerodynamic load by improving air flow through the underbody. The rear spoiler has small side appendages also for aerodynamic purposes. The geometry of the Porsche suspension was corrected (by changing the position of the lower ball joint) to increase anti-sinking effect and thus improve the aerodynamic balance between the wheel axles and reduce rolling during braking.
There are new aluminum wheels, which together reduce unsprung weight by 1.5 kilograms. Another new product is an additional package. Weissach (Leuchtbau) in the 911 GT3 Touring), which consists of magnesium wheels (9 kg lighter) and a 40 Ah lithium-ion battery, saving four kilograms. In its lightest configuration, the 911 GT3 weighs 1,420 kilograms. In the case of the 911 GT3 Touring Leichtbau: The gear lever is the shortest, like the 911 S/T. (it is 10 mm shorter than the standard one) and in front there is a sign with the inscription Leichtbau.
Standard tire sizes 255/35 R20 front and 315/30 R21 rear.. Outdoor-certified ring tires are available as an option.
