Powerball hits another record jackpot

The jackpot of the Powerball reached another record by adding $653 million, becoming the eighth largest in the history of this lottery.
The last time someone won jackpot of the Powerball was on November 19, 2022, when a ticket purchased in the state of Kansas won $92.9 million, Powerball said in written statements. Since then no one has hit the jackpot in 31 consecutive draws.
If someone wins the $653 million, they will be able to have the cash option to take home $350.5 million. The next draw is this Wednesday.

It is currently unknown who won the historic $2.04 billion prize that was raffled off in November. It could be months before the lucky one is revealed. The winning ticket was sold at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena, California. For selling the winning ticket, business owner Joe Chahayed received $1 million.
Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
