Today, Friday, January 13, 2023, the dollar trades at 18.7625 pesos per unit with a downward trend in real time. According to the report of Banxico, the peso advances 7.77 cents in the exchange rate to settle at 18.7699 pesos per unit against the spot interbank dollar. On this day, the Mexican peso appreciated.

At the weekly level, the Mexican currency closed with an accumulated advance of 38.81 pesos against the North American currency, spinning its seventh session won in a row in the positive streak in the markets.

According to the economist Gabriela Siller, on this day it stands out that the Japanese yen reaches 128.11 yen per dollar, its best level against the dollar since May 31, 2022. It was also a good day for the Indonesian rupiah. On the international scene, it also points to the consumer confidence index, which shows an upward trend in the US.
