Price of the dollar today January 16, the peso loses the session

Today, Monday, January 16, 2023, the dollar is trading at 18.7810 pesos per unit with a downward trend in real time. The peso falls 2.05 cents against the spot interbank dollar to settle at 18.7904, compared to the last closing, on Friday Banxico (18.7699). On this day, the exchange rate depreciated.
The economist Gabriela Siller points out that today’s depreciation is the end of a positive streak of 10 consecutive sessions of advances, in which it managed to appreciate 3.76% against the US dollar, however the exchange rate remains below the threshold of 18.80 pesos.
