The Quito League has completed its search and already has a new coach.
On Monday, January 8, it was confirmed that the new national team coach Quito League and Luis Subeldia’s replacement will be Josep Alcácer. The Spaniard arrives in Ecuador to play in the lower divisions of Spain. The club chose this candidate among other candidates for the bench.
Information has appeared in the press that the 44-year-old Spaniard will become the next coach of the Quito League. Mr. OFFSIDER confirms that the agreement between the Quito League and Josep Alcácer is complete. The Spanish coach was left without a team in 2024.
The Spaniard coached Granada in Spain as Aitor Karanka’s technical assistant in 2022. His last coaching experience was with Alcorcon B of the Spanish second division.
During his career, he was an assistant coach for teams such as Elche, Getafe, Sporting Gijon and Villarreal. The decision on the new direction of the Quito League has caused significant uncertainty among its fans, since 2024 is considered a very important year for the Albo team.
