Red Sox Opening Day 2023 Starting Lineup

According to a statement from the manager of the Red SoxAlex Cora, the new starting shortstop for his team for the 2023 season will be the Puerto Rican Kiké Hernández, who must replace Trevor Story after having undergone elbow surgery that will take him out of action for between four and six months.
With the Puerto Rican utility at shortstop and the addition of Adam Duvall in center field, this is what the team could look like. Red Sox starting lineup on Opening Day 2023 (March 30) vs. the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park:

- Rafael Devers, 3B
- Justin Turner, DH
- Triston Houses, 1B
- Adam Duvall, CF
- Alex Verdugo, RF
- Kike Hernandez, SS
- Christian Arroyo, 2B
- Reese McGuire, C.
Prior to signing Duvall, Alex Cora had pointed out that the center fielder who was shaping up to play every day was the young Jarren Duran, however, the situation has changed after the acquisition of the 2021 World Series champion with the Braves from Atlanta.
