RFEF brings together the two clubs to report on the progress of the Cup final.
The Copa del Rey final has already begun. This Thursday, an information meeting was held electronically, in which the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the finalists, Athletic and Real Deportivo Mallorca, took part. This was the first contact to begin working with all parties involved in the large national football festival that will take place April 6, at 22:00.in that La Cartuja Stadium in Seville. The final will be broadcast by TVE, Movistar, ETB and IB3.
The clubs have been informed that they will each have 40% of the capacity of the Andalusian stadium, which will mean the presence 20,698 fans each team. In this sense, the Royal Spanish Football Federation is once again giving up part of its quota, initially set at 33%, so that Athletic and Mallorca have as many followers as possible. Ticket prices will vary from 40 and 220 euros.
Both organizations were also informed about the location of the fan zones. Athletic will be located in the southern fan zone, in the Fernando Magallanes Park, while Mallorca fans will be able to enjoy the northern fan zone, next to the Alamillo Park. This distribution of spaces will also apply inside the stadium itself.
In terms of refereeing, the Copa del Rey final will use semi-automatic offside technology. Thus, it will again be a competition organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation that will again use this innovative technology, as has happened before. In addition, VAR decisions will also be transmitted into the stadium itself via the video board and TV U surrounding the playing field.
Stadium doors will open three hours earlier and the wait will be livened up with music and entertainment before the ball starts rolling at 10pm.
