Sandy Alcántara FLEW to the Big Apple – Full Swing

Sandy Alcantara, the Dominican player for the Miami Marlins is one of the most sought-after pitchers in the MLB today. It is well known that many teams have picked up the phone to talk with the South Florida team about the availability of the pitcher in this 2023 offseason.
And how not to do it? In 32 outings with the fish last season, the native of Azua left records of 14-9 with a 2.28 earned run percentage and 207 strikeouts in 228.1 innings of work. He racked up a mighty 8.0 WAR in the 2022 season and posts a career-best 16.0 WAR in MLB.
That performance served him to win so UNANIMOUS the renowned Cy Young Award that accredits him as the best pitcher in the National League.

Sandy recently offered a statement to MLB for his work this offseason regarding his training: “If you want to be like this man, the great leader, you have to start working non-stop,” Alcántara said. “When you work hard, with consistency and dedication, you don’t need to worry about it, because you’re here. You don’t have to change anything. You have to keep doing what you’ve been doing.”.
Today the official Miami Marlins account posted: “Quick trip to NY with the CY to pick up your hardware”.
Alcántara receiving his National League Cy Young Award tomorrow night in New York. Miami Marlins owner Bruce Sherman flew Sandy and her family on a private plane to the Big Apple for the event. Remember, the Baseball Writers’ Dinner is tomorrow night, an annual event featuring last season’s award winners.
