The movie Shazam 2 has not done well at the box office, but also, DC Comics fans are starting to find fault with it.
Shazam 2 may have been released at a strange time, as superhero movies are beginning to experience some exhaustion, plus the DC Comics Universe has been through many controversies with Henry Cavill’s Superman, The Rock’s Black Adam and pretend restart it all at the hands of James Gunn.
For these reasons, there was little interest in seeing Shazam 2 and not even a Wonder Woman cameo by Gal Gadot has managed to save the film. Since at the box office it has only obtained 132 million dollars, so it is not profitable by far.
But as if this were not enough, there is a perfect demonstration of how lazy they have been with this movie. Since we can see a photo of a newspaper clipping, but it is a recycled image from the movie Wonder Woman (2017), from the moment called No Man’s Land, which is precisely when Diana Prince comes out of the trenches in all her great splendor. Therefore, no one was able to take such a photo in 1917, when the world did not know of its existence.

After the failure of Shazam 2, it is difficult for them to make the third installment and, furthermore, they have confirmed that they will not make Wonder Woman 3. Shazam 2 is currently available in theaters but will soon arrive in digital and physical formats. Then it can be enjoyed on the HBO Max streaming platform, like the rest of the DC Comics installments.
