Six years have passed, and I still can’t believe that Ubisoft hid the true ending of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey from me in their DLC – Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey

As a big fan of Ubisoft’s open world games, recent Assassin’s Creed titles like Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla have captivated me with their storytelling and the freedom they offer. However, there is something that left a bitter taste in my mouth. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: the fact that Ubisoft decided hide the true ending of Cassandra’s story in her DLC payment. This is what undoubtedly makes Odyssey my least favorite game between Origins and Valhalla. And I was not happy that Ubisoft left the true ending of its plot behind the payment.

It seems like only a few days in the film, but a whopping 17 years pass between two key scenes in The Lord of the Rings.

Leaves, Fates and Hidden Stories

The full ending to Cassandra’s storyline, including her longevity and survival in the Assassin’s Creed Origins era, is not revealed until the release of the DLC. These episodes, released as paid content, explain how Cassandra manages to live for centuries or how her story is connected to the founding of the Assassin Order through Aya of Alexandria.

Despite the narrative richness of the base game, it is in these DLCs that we are offered a full understanding of the importance of the character of Cassandra to the game’s mythology. The fact that they weren’t available at first makes me question Ubisoft’s actions, especially when certain specific details of the story later reappear in Valhalla to the surprise of many fans. The story of Cassandra and her influence on the Assassin Order should have been an integral part of the base gameand not additional content that many players failed to play, I don’t know, it seemed ugly to me.

Cassandra lives for centuries thanks to the Caduceus of Hermesa mystical artifact that grants him immortality, allowing him to survive the events of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. to this daywhen he appears again in the Fate of Atlantis DLC. Additionally, in “Legacy of the First Leaf”, it is revealed that Cassandra not only survived time, but is also an ancestor Aya of Alexandria, who founded the Brotherhood of Assassins with her husband Bayek.. Aya plays a key role in the history of the Order, as her fight against the Templars in Egypt laid the foundations for an organization that would fight for freedom from oppressive control for centuries. The connection between Cassandra and Aya This is vital to understanding the origins of the Assassin Order. and how its legacy endures over time. Call me crazy, but I think these two pieces of information are important for all players. And I don’t know about you, but it was terrible for me to learn about this epilogue to Cassandra’s story like this.
