Skoda Superb becomes more spacious and comfortable
Superb is the most representative model of the Skoda line, in the latest evolution it has increased in size. has a more elegant appearance and improved aerodynamics. It is still offered with two body types. A sedan called Limo and a family or Combi. In both cases, the designers managed to reduce the aerodynamic drag coefficient in both bodies by 15%, which has a positive effect on both reducing noise during its operation and in the fuel line.
Among the design innovations, the octagonal radiator grille and Matrix LED headlights stand out. including the new Crystallinium design element, which gives the headlights a turquoise hue. The rear lights can also be optionally equipped with LEDs with animated turn signals. The bonnet logo and tailgate lettering are finished in dark chrome, and alloy wheels are available in diameters from 17 to 19 inches. The saloon version has grown by 43 mm in length, while the Superb Combi estate has become 40 mm longer.
Superb Interior It combines all the comfort of large sedans and features a large 13-inch screen in the center of the dashboard. in which we can find all the usual information and entertainment systems, and the automatic transmission is activated by the selector lever located on the steering column. In the central console we find a place for fast inductive charging for a 15-watt mobile phone. Comfort is one of the strengths of these Skodas, thanks to the ergonomic seats with ten pneumatically controlled massage cushions. Buyers can choose between four upholstery and trim options, as well as three different front seat configurations, and all fabrics used contain recycled materials. Concerning trunk, the volume has increased to 640 liters in the Limo version and 690 liters in the Combi versionwhich makes them the largest in their segment.
In terms of available engines, the Superb offers a variety of diesel and petrol alternatives. The entry-level diesel produces 150 hp, but the TDI can reach 193 hp. In the petrol versions, we can choose between a mild hybridisation engine (MHEV), which is supplemented by a 48 V battery and reaches 150 horsepower. And the most powerful TSI, with power increasing to 265 horsepower. A plug-in hybrid version is also available, boosting output to 204 PS via a 25.7 kWh battery and providing an all-electric range of up to 133 kilometres. A Sportline trim level and a plug-in hybrid version of the saloon (currently only available as a Combi) will be added to the range later in the year. All models are equipped with a six-speed DSG automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard on the diesel model and the range-topping petrol model.
The new Superb (Limo and Combi) is now available in Spain. from the price of 38,250 euros for the Limo version with Selection trim and 1.5 TSI self-charging hybrid engine with 150 hp.
