Sustainability and technology: the future of logistics in Spain

Previously, most of the population knew little about this sector, associating it only with trucks or military themes. The situation between Russia and Ukraine has forced companies in Europe to get used to uncertainty. Budgets for the next 3 or 5 years are no longer reliably managed.

On the other hand, we are currently facing a very important problem, both at European and global level: deglobalizationWe come from an increasingly globalized, connected world, and through a series of events we realized that we had to change our over-dependence, particularly on China.

Yes there is trade war between the US and Chinaand Europe is at the center of this process. This means bring production that was previously done in China closer to other countries, which affects logistics.

Although we have good prospects, we face a number of problems that we do not share with other countries and that need to be addressed. However, public administration is trying to address them, especially with regard to sustainabilitySince companies cannot make the transition alone, they need support not only from a regulatory perspective but also to facilitate the process.

In terms of taxation, we are one of the most punished in the European Union, which is a burden for companies that want to settle here. However, with the help of the state, many foreign companies are currently settling in the country, and we hope that this trend will continue in this direction.
