Taylor Swift tops the list of celebrities in terms of net favorability in a new NBC News poll, with 40 percent of registered voters saying their view of the pop star is positive.
The poll found that seventeen percent said they had “very positive” views of Swift, and 22 percent said they had “somewhat positive views”.
Only 16 percent of respondents have negative views about Swift.
Swift defeated notable politicians including President Biden, Vice President Harris, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), former President Trump and Republican presidential candidates former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s approval rating is at 33 percent, Biden and Trump each have earned 36 percent, Harris has earned 29 percent, Haley is close behind with 24 percent and DeSantis is in last place with 20 percent favorability from voters. . But they all had unfavorable ratings, giving Swift the edge.
Stars like Swift and Beyoncé may be more influential to American voters than politicians, according to Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research, who conducted the survey for NBC News.
“He has the ability and influence to reach Americans in a way that our national leaders cannot,” he said.
The survey was conducted from Nov. 10-14 with 1,000 registered voters and has a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
