Teset Capital launches Triceleris, a neutral fiber operator, to develop digital connectivity in rural areas

Teset Capital, an independent fund manager specialized in infrastructure investments, has launched Tricleris, a neutral FTTH (fiber to the home) network operator, with the aim of revolutionizing digital connectivity in Spain.

This launch is in line with Teset Capital’s strategy to invest in core infrastructure, strengthening its position as a key player in developing sustainable and high-impact technology solutions.

With Triceleris, Teset Capital noted that it is taking another step in its commitment to “democratize access to modern infrastructure” by making it easier for local and regional operators to access a high-quality fiber network without having to make costly investments. These infrastructures facilitate the delivery of essential services such as distance education, telemedicine and remote work to rural communities and areas with limited access, promoting digital inclusion and social and economic progress throughout Spain.

Triceleris, which today provides access to more than 250,000 homes, plans to exceed one million in the coming years through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. This model fosters an ecosystem of collaboration that not only removes barriers to entry, but also expands connectivity in underserved areas. Teset Capital’s investment exceeds €30 million and demonstrates society’s commitment to companies that combine profitability and social benefit.

According to José Arango, partner at Teset Capital, “Tricéleris is a platform designed to support local operators, facilitating access to high-quality infrastructure without the need to deploy their own networks. Our commitment is clear: support operators and do our part.” towards more affordable and equitable connectivity in Spain.”

He said the fiber optic infrastructure deployed by Triceleris is highly energy efficient and helps reduce carbon emissions in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Pedro López, senior advisor at Teset Capital and former director of Telefónica, emphasized that “Tricéleris is a neutral operator that responds to market needs and supports other operators in their growth and network deployment. Our approach as a neutral operator allows local ISPs to quickly scale their services, improving coverage without the need for large investments. We create an infrastructure prepared for the technological challenges of the future and promote digital inclusion throughout Spain.

According to the company, the launch of Triceleris reflects Teset Capital’s goal to combine financial and operational expertise with a long-term vision. “With a team of professionals who have held strategic positions in leading companies, the company applies best practices to improve service quality and create value for both operators and investors,” Poe said.
