Texas Woman Shot and Killed a Man Who Allegedly Drugged and Kidnapped Her

Authorities reported that on Friday a Texas woman called 911 to ask for help and confess that she had shot a man who was holding her hostage.

While the woman’s whereabouts were initially unknown, officers eventually found her near a warehouse in the 10800 block of U.S. Highway 290 East.
The woman then spoke to officers and described the vehicle and the weapon used.
A deputy located the vehicle parked in the outside lane of westbound traffic and found a man in the front seat area who appeared dead, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities later confirmed that the man was dead.
The subject was identified as Lance Damon Reid, 49, who resided in the Houston area, according to the sheriff’s office.
No further details about Reid or his death were immediately provided.
Meanwhile, the woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was interviewed by an investigator. Authorities did not immediately provide an update on the condition of the possible victim.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
