The Barcelona Eurovision Party turns the city into the Eurovision capital for 3 days from March 23 to 25 – CATACULTURAL

The Barcelona Eurovision Party, which celebrates its second edition with three days, is an event as a prelude to the Eurovision contest with live concerts where Eurovision fans have the opportunity to see and listen to the contestants of that year, as well as to some former participants who will act as special guests.

On Thursday the 23rd the starting signal will be given with the EUROfansCLUB party with DJs specialized in the festival with different sessions in the Sala Arena Experience.

On Friday 24 the day will begin with a welcome for the delegations by L’ajuntament de Barcelona and Barcelona Turisme with the representatives of the different countries and some Eurovision faces recognized by the general public of the festival. Immediately afterwards, the EURO QUEENS NIGHT will take place in the Sala Apolo with big Eurovision names such as Barei (Spain 2016), Ronela Hajati (Albania 2022), Efendi (Azerbaijan 2020 & 2021) and WRS (Romania 2022). In addition, faces from BenidormFest such as José Otero, E’femme, Megara, Siderland, Famous and a DJ set from LAS EURODRAMAS are added.

The great weight of these three days will continue to be the Barcelona Eurovision Party, which will be held on Saturday March 25 at the Sant Jordi Club where the performance of representatives of 2023 will be enjoyed such as the Spanish representative Blanca Paloma, Gustaph (Belgium), Joker Out (Slovenia), Wild Youth (Ireland), Teya & Selena (Austria), Iru Khechanovi (Georgia), Monika Linkyté (Lithuania), Sudden Lights (Latvia), Piqued Jacks (San Marino), Pasha Parfeni (Moldova), Diljá (Iceland) and many more to be announced.

For the second year in a row, Sharonne, winner of ‘Drag Race Spain’ and contestant at ‘BenidormFest’, will perform ‘Aire’ for the first time after her time on the programme. She will be accompanied by Giuseppe Di Bella, a Eurovisual figure after taking the stage with Edurne at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and, in addition, this year Alex Marteen, drag and local artist who has made a name for himself in the Eurovision scene after passing through the EUROfansCLUB parties in Turin, Vienna and Benidorm.

In addition, the show will feature faces from the festival that have already performed at Eurovision such as Beth, who will sing ‘Dime’ 20 years after performing in Riga, Destiny (Malta 2020/21), Rosa López (Spain 2002) Poli Genova (Bulgaria 2011 and 2016), Suzy (Portugal 2014) and Eva Santamaria (Spain 1993, Susanne Georgi (Andorra 2009) and more still to be announced.

The intention of this year’s Barcelona Eurovision Party is to become the closest thing to the Eurovision Song Contest. In fact, a “green room” area will be created for artists and screens next to a large stage. “Our goal is to create an environment like the Eurovision Song Contest, for all those people who cannot travel to Liverpool this year”, reveals Olivier Grau, one of the organizers of the Barcelona Eurovision Party.

In addition to the 3 concerts, daytime plans such as musicals, talks, conferences, presentations and even tours of the city have been programmed throughout the days so that Eurofans can enjoy the city of Barcelona during their stay.
