Spaceship Pilgrim He failed to reach the Moon and will not return to Earth. TEAR. When it had already covered 375,000 kilometers, 80% of the way, the American mission was aborted due to a fuel leak, and the device would crash into the Earth’s shield over Australia, so as not to leave any more debris there. Fear no one, there is no danger, experts say, but with the failed project, some of the scientific experiments that were housed there are lost, and the remains on board of former Presidents Washington, Eisenhower and Kennedy will return to dust, this time in space. Don’t worry, Elon Musk does it much worse. Both the Chinese and Indians, by the way, are much better. The United States is in the doldrums of the moon race.
Why, readers, is this note here and now? Because on the ship that took off on January 8th from Cape Canaveral, there were also five Mexican microrobots, only 300 grams, they called it Project Hive, and here’s the funny thing: it was about seeing how these babies would hold up. bees in space, which had never happened before, the rest devoted themselves to adult robots. It is logical that this issue causes dissatisfaction with the NAU and the Mexican Space Agency, which is responsible for the experiment. It’s a shame, but upcoming takeoffs are planned in the global race to the satellite; let’s see if one of them is lucky enough to continue the experiment. The device also transmitted 80,000 messages from children around the world that were never received. Space, children, sometimes behaves just as bad as the Earth.
Exploring the Moon and Mars is not only for adventurers, as you can see, but also for science, and therefore useful for all of us. In the case of Mexico, the goal was also to understand how the regolith, that layer of material that covers the Moon, and those other granules that float about 20 or 30 centimeters from its surface behave. They wanted to see if telecommunications worked in this habitat, something no one had measured before. There is something to learn from every disappointment. At the same time, scientists are content with the fact that they have at least confirmed that microrobots can withstand take-off and rocket flight, and they are able to communicate with them from space. This means that all is not lost yet.
“It’s a little unrealistic to talk about failures when you do something so innovative and so far-reaching, you have failures, and the main thing is not to fall, but to rise,” said the head of the Mexico mission, Gustavo Medina, a few days ago. “We are already building a second mission.” Perhaps for your next trip it would be convenient to buy tickets from China or India because they are successful. The US left no footprints on the moon for five decades, and a few months ago the Russians crashed their ship. However, China has already introduced three devices and India has just achieved this. It’s better not to mention Elon Musk.
