The car of the future is from Škoda, and now you can try it out in the popular simulator for PS5 and PS4.
In recent years, Gran Turismo has become a meeting place to look at the future of the automotive industry. Manufacturers such as Ferrari, Jaguar, Porsche, Lamborghini and Suzuki have worked closely with Polyphony Digital to understand where the concept of single-seater racing is heading. The latest to join the list is Škoda.and the Czechs present their first concept car under the Prague sky in Gran Turismo 7.
The future of four wheels is drawn by Škoda
The Škoda Vision Gran Turismo is inspired by one of the brand’s classic models, giving it a futuristic appearance. We are talking about a 1957 Škoda 1100 OHC Spider., who was present at the presentation and which did not go unnoticed by Kazunori Yamauchi, the director of the franchise. The Japanese got behind the wheel in a clear nod to the classicism of motorsport, which he so loves to convey in his projects.
About the car The car has a total of four electric motors producing 800 kW, all-wheel drive and 1020 hp of torque.. And all this while maintaining a total weight of 1300 kilograms. He flies along the highway. Its independent wishbone suspension system, similar to that used in the current Formula E concept, ensures a lower center of gravity of the car, reduced chassis roll and improved stability at high speeds.
Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto, explains that the collaboration between the group and Polyphony Digital is a “great way to enrich” the experience of its customers while “attracting new fans” around the brand. The presentation was marked by competition between six historical professional GT racers, including Lucas Ordonezfirst GT Academy winner.
From now on, the Škoda Vision Gran Turismo is available in Gran Turismo 7 at no additional cost. Its introduction is part of update 1.46.which in addition to the above includes the 2024 AFEELA Prototype, the ’70 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Sport Coupe, a new optional GT Café menu dedicated to Ferrari, three new World Circuit rounds and the San Diego round in Scapes mode.
