The Covid-19 vaccine has changed the timing of when it is given at the start of the menstrual cycle.

Together with the study “The Impact of SARS-Covid-19 Isolation on the Menstrual Cycle” (the first to show how home confinement irregular female menstruation), gynecologists from Hospital Santa Creu and Sant Pau (Barcelona) – in collaboration with the Agència de Qualitat i Avaluació Sanitàries de Catalunya (Aquas) and a lunar cycle tracking app – also examined how coronavirus vaccines have affected effect on bleeding. “We have seen that vaccination can lead to changes in the menstrual cycle, but it depended on cycle time when the woman was vaccinated,” the doctor explains Josep Perello.
