The Danish Royal House has published a video with unreleased images
The Danish Royal House has released behind-the-scenes footage of King Frederick being crowned king by the Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen.
Queen Mary and her four children, Crown Prince Christian, Princess Elizabeth, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, were filmed looking on proudly from inside the palace.
The video also shows the king taking his wife with him to the balcony and kissing both of them and greeting their children. Frederick’s younger brother Prince Joachim, whose wife Princess Marie was in the United States, was also filmed inside the palace.
The title next to the video says (translated into English): “Long live the King!” The royal family also shared a carousel of images of the “great moment” “seen from the other side.”

In a speech after the prime minister’s proclamation, the king said: “Today the throne is gone. My hope is to become the meeting king of tomorrow. This is a task I have faced throughout my life. It is a responsibility that I accept with honour, pride and great pleasure. This is a task that I will strive to accomplish through the faith that I have received. I need all possible support. To my loving wife, to my family, to you and to Him who is greater than us. “I face the future with the certainty that I am not alone.”
