The government will increase Moves III by 200 million and increase truck replacement assistance by 50 million.

The Executive Branch will announce today an expansion of the electric vehicle purchase incentive plan known as Moves III. This assistance program was in effect until July 31 this year, and the Sánchez government will extend the program’s allocation by 200 million euros, as well as its duration, which will be extended until the end of the year.

Some of the measures taken following the resignation of Anfac President Wayne Griffiths, following four months of government inaction. Government President Pedro Sánchez committed last February to review the Moves III plan and develop charging infrastructure.

Moves Mitma extension


Head of Pedro Sanchez will increase by 50 million euros assistance aimed at sustainable transformation of heavy on-road passenger and commercial vehicle fleets, also known as Moves Mitma.


This extension comes after the expiration of the aid under this program on April 30. The said stimulus program, which had 400 million euros in European funds, and now this extension of 50 million euros comes from the provisions of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, as elEconomista.es has learned from sources familiar with the negotiations.


With this measure, the department, headed by Oscar Puente, wants respond to requests submitted before the call deadline. It should be remembered that the deadline for autonomous communities to submit an application is 20 days from the date of entry into force of this Royal Decree-Law.


This assistance program received 12,000 applications from companies worth 627 million euros, which is 56% more than the originally planned budget. In fact, more than 98% of this amount was requested for the retirement of the old fleet of polluting vehicles and the acquisition of environmentally friendly heavy vehicles.
