In women it represents antibiotic effect strong, carried out due to the transfer of fecal microbiota, with some pills processed in such a way that they can be swallowed normally.
Research in mice suggests a link between the gut microbiome and neurodegenerative diseases.
Diseases neurodegenerative (NDD), with no known cure and elusive causes, causes irreversible damage to the brain and nervous system. Research into these diseases has typically focused on the brain, but studies in mice in recent years suggest that the microbiome also plays a role in the onset and progression of some NDDs.
“These conclusions suggest that the gut microbiome plays an important role in the onset and progression of at least some neurodegenerative diseases,” said Chris Ellis, principal investigator of a multi-institutional team of microbiologists from Netellis, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and North University. Caroline in Chapel Hill, both in the United States.

At ASM Microbe, the annual meeting of the American Society for Microbiology, these researchers reported new link in humans, between a metabolite produced by intestinal microbes and 3 NDD. Their analysis suggests that the metabolite DHPS (2,3-dihydroxypropane-1-sulfonate) may help answer important questions about how sulfur metabolic pathways may link the microbiome to these diseases.
