Following the conclusion of the Screen Actors Guild strike on Nov. 9, the red carpets are now in full swing, with the premiere of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” in Los Angeles on Monday evening. The new prequel follows a successful series of teen sci-fi films based on the bestselling novels by Suzanne Collins.
Below, see what stars including Rachel Zegler, Hunter Schafer and Olivia Rodrigo wore to the premiere of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.”
Ziegler wore an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown from the designer’s Fall 2023 collection. Her transparent top frock featured crystal embellishments and a matching shawl. She also added a selection of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including rubellite and aquamarine rings and a set of diamond studs. Ziegler was styled by Sarah Slutsky Tolli.
Makeup artist Alan Avendaño gave the actress beige eyeshadow, winged liner and a glossy nude lip, while hairdresser Marisa Marino styled her dark hair into waves.
Schaefer wore a ruffled cutout gown by Alexander McQueen, covered in pewter beading. The actress wore matching heeled ankle boots and jeweled cuffs.
Rodrigo, whose song “Can’t Catch Me Now” appears on “The Hunger Games” soundtrack, wore a custom halter neck created by Rodarte. The pop star’s shimmering frock featured floral embellishments and black sequins. Stylist Danielle Goldberg, who dresses fellow stars including Greta Lee and Ayo Adebiri, created Rodrigo’s look for the premiere.
Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis glowed in a green sequin cape by Oscar de la Renta. Her look also included black chalcedonia tights, sharp pumps and tabaier jewelry. Elizabeth Stewart styled Davis for the occasion. Cate Blanchett, Jessica Chastain and Amanda Seyfried are among Stewart’s other A-list clients.
Hairdresser Jamika Wilson styled Davis’ bob in waves, while makeup artist Sergio Lopez-Rivera gave the actress black eyeliner and pink blush.
Singer Conan Gray chose a velvet Gaurav Gupta blazer with gold feather embroidery. She added a pair of flared trousers and a silk striped button-up, completing her ensemble with black shoes.
