The Levante UD joins the retro trend in its second form, paying homage to the UDLG | Lift You Up
Fashion and history seem like an oxymoron, but it is a perfect combination. Especially for a football team like Levante UD, which harmonizes both of these things, as well as respect for the environment and sustainability, in each of its textile proposals, which it develops with Macron. This is the new Levante UD second kit for the season that is about to begin: a shirt that follows the retro trend that exists right now and pays homage to its history.
Levante UD’s second kit, presented to us by first team men’s player Carlos Alvarez for the 2024/2025 season. honors the memory of UDLG (Levante Gymnastics Sports Union) was born from the merger of the football clubs Gimnástica and Levante with a red and white jersey with black edges, which, like the first, is made of Eco Fabricpolyester material made entirely from recycled materials.
T-shirt with history
The events date back to the summer of 1939. The news, which the contemporary press called an “information bomb”, dated the first days of August 1939, shook Valencian football. Levante and Gimnástica, two clubs with different philosophies and imaginations, have joined forces.. Thus was born the Levante Gymnastics Sports Union, dressed in a red and white shirt.
Because of the colour of this uniform, the Levante-Gymnastica Athletic Union began to recognise Team Kachirulo. The colours were kept as long as the name UDLG was kept, that is, in the seasons 1939/1940 and 1940/1941. With the transfer to Levante, the colours of Gimnástica returned to the colours of Barça.

The main part of the shirt is divided into a red stripe running through the entire vertical of the garmentexcept for the box of the main sponsor: Marcos Automoción, so that it stands out on the chest. On the red part of the shirt you can see patterns that imitate splashes, a detail that Macron wanted to include in his proposal, also to give value to the fabric itself and make it not completely smooth. The sleeves are also red, and the rest of the shirt is pinned in white. with the good finishing that Macron has accustomed us to, and a finishing that does not lack detail. The shoulders and sleeves are treated in the same way. The shorts are completely white, with red details, as are the socks.
