Brock Purdy continued his miracle streak, helping the 49ers beat the Cowboys and reach the NFC Championship Game for the second straight season. It was a new disappointment for the fans of the ‘Team of America’, and social networks did not forgive.
The 49ers have won 12 straight games, the fifth-longest streak before a Conference Championship game in the Super Bowl era. Purdy is also the fifth rookie starting QB to reach the Conference Championship and will try to become the first to win and advance to the Super Bowl.
For the Cowboys, it was their 12th straight playoff appearance without reaching the Conference Championship, the longest streak by any team since the 1970 merger. Dallas has lost seven straight Divisional Round games, tied for the second most longest of any team in a playoff round since the merger.
