The Netherlands announced 7 major leagues in provisional roster for the 2023 World Classic – Full Swing

The fifth edition of the World Baseball Classic will be the most important event at the national team level that the sport of balls and strikes will have in 2023. Just two months away, the names of the players who will wear the colors of each team, in which numerous big leaguers stand out, shows the importance they already give to this spring competition.

Such is the case of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which revealed the first 14 names on its provisional roster, as well as the coaching staff that will guide the oranges. Clearly and in the absence of other members, it seems that this will be the best team that this country will gather in all the Classics, which is looking for its first medal in these competitions.
In the relationship, names like the pitchers are obvious Kenley Janson and Pedro Strop, as well as the players Xander BogartsJonathan Schop, didi gregoriusJurickson Profar, Andrelton Simmons, all with extensive experience at the highest level of baseball.
Bogaerts, Gregorius and Simmons would make an excellent defense in the infield, and they are second to no one with the wood, they bring more than 350 home runs to their major league record that they can instill respect in any opponent.
As if that were not enough, the coaching staff also includes former baseball players who shone in the big tent, such as Hall of Fame candidate Andrew Jones, who will serve as bench coach, and others with experience in international tournaments with the Dutch jersey, such as Sharnol Adriana and Eugene Kingsale; all directed by Hensley Meulens, former player of the New York Yankees.

The Netherlands will begin their journey in the fifth World Classic as part of group A, along with the ninth teams of Cuba, Italy, Panama and the local Chinese Taipei team.
