What do we know about this certification? Well, basically it means that the phone resistant to solid objects, dust and water. Each digit that makes up the number next to the letters “IP” represents a degree of the scale, which in the first case goes from 0 to 6, and in the second – from 0 to 9.

Now the number “4” in the certification means objects measuring one millimeter or more. That is, anything smaller than 1 mm (and dust, of course, is there) can slip through the cracks of the phone.

It wouldn’t be a good idea to play funeral for a folding device on the beach.The lack of dust protection was already mentioned in the small print of the device on Samsung’s website, but many users may not realize it (or have stopped thinking about it). At least they’re safe if they fall into water.
