The studio behind Deliver Us Mars is laying off all of its employees.
KeokeN Interactive, the studio behind Deliver Us Mars, has announced it is laying off all of its employees.
The news was shared by its CEO Koen Ditman and CEO Paul Ditman on social media, where they admitted that “unfortunately, we had to lay off our KeokeN team because nothing significant happened after our visit to GDC.”
“Unfortunately, we have exhausted all possibilities for publishing, commissioning, or co-development,” they say.
Studying explained a month ago that he is working on five projects for which he is looking for a publisher and investors. However, they do not seem to have achieved this goal.
“Our personal mission is to rebuild KeokEn brick by brick as we did before, for the sake of our people and continue the legacy of our games.”
“It is clear that the most important thing to us and our team is you, our community. If you play our games, you make them shine, you make us feel special because you believe in us. You’ve always been there through the good and bad, from our Kickstarter debut to our recent video asking for help. Thanks to you, we reached millions of people. We have always needed you and will continue to do so.
The studio’s last game was Deliver Us Mars, published last February by Frontier Foundry, the defunct publisher of Frontier Developments.
From now on, KeokeN’s next project should be Deliver Us Home, for which a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter will soon begin.
