The Truth About Avocados: Nutritionist Explains How Eating Them Affects Your Body
Nutritionists are experts in achieving a good quality of life through nutritional issues. And the latest medical research in particular and scientific research in general make it clear that there is no healthy life without a diet that meets certain standards and certain rules. That is, if you follow basic dietary advice, you are more or less guaranteed that your life will be better and that you will live longer and healthier.
Julio Basulto is one of the most famous and popular on social networks. Every day, hundreds of thousands of people follow his advice via Twitter or Instagram and improve their quality of life by discovering scientific research or practical examples related to food. The fact is that a few years ago he himself Basulto wrote a very interesting article about avocado, one of the most beloved foods (which is more expensive) and which apparently brings the most benefits (according to many) to our body.
“It is not true that avocados contain cholesterol. Not only that, but consuming them may be helpful in lowering blood cholesterol levels in people who are overweight or obese,” the nutritionist says in her blog, emphasizing that these data are taken from a study published in the official journal of the American Heart Association.
But Basulto goes further. “There are a number of misconceptions in the world of nutrition. One is that cholesterol is found in any food that contains fat, regardless of its origin. This is not true: we will not find cholesterol in plant foods, even if they are high in fat (like nuts or avocados), but we will find it in animal foods such as meat, dairy, fish, seafood, and, of course, eggs.”
