The US Air Mobility Command warned of a possible war with the Xi Jinping regime by 2025

A four star general of the United States Air Force warned that there is a possibility of a conflict with china for within two years (2025) – most likely by Taiwan – and urged his commanders to push their units towards the maximum operational readiness for a battle that year.

In an internal memo first made public on social media on Friday and later confirmed as genuine by the Pentagonthe leader of Air Mobility Commandgeneral Mike Minihansaid the main objective should be to deter “and, if required, defeat” China.

“I hope I’m wrong. My gut tells me that we will be in combat in 2025″, assured Minihan.

Minihan explained that the presidential elections in Taiwan next year they would give the Xi Jinping regime a pretext for a military aggressionWhile USA would be distracted by his own electoral race for the White House.

“Xin team, motive and opportunity align in 2025″he added.

The memorandum also summons all Mobile Command personnel to go to the firing range, “shoot a provider” towards the target and “aim for the head”.

Via email, a Pentagon spokesman responded to a request for comment from the AFP about the memo: “Yes, it’s a fact that he sent that”.

The memo, first reported Friday by the network NBCNews is dated February 1, which is still days away, and was distributed to Minihan’s subordinate commanders, reported The Washington Post.

A US defense officialwho spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue, said that Minihan’s comments “are not representative of the department’s opinion on China,” according to statements collected by the aforementioned outlet.

The Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austinassured on January 11 during a press conference together with Japanese officials, that the United States had observed a “very provocative behavior” of the chinese forces in an attempt to boost the international standards. But he also played down concerns that China could launch an attack on Taiwan any time soon.

Senior US officials have said in recent months that China seems to be rushing the time frame to take control of Taiwanan autonomous democracy claimed as its own territory by Beijing

China executed important military exercises in August last year, which were perceived as a invasion assay following the defiant solidarity visit to Taipei by the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The United States switched recognition from Taipei to Beijing in 1979, but sells weapons to Taiwan to defend itself.

A growing number of US lawmakers have called for increased assistance, including sending military aid directly to Taiwan, noting that the Russian invasion of Ukraine requires early preparation.
